get a can of that Engine Restore stuff... lol

jokes aside, most likely your rings are going. do a compression/leak down test.

I was wondering about this too. My car smokes around vtec-6000 grand. Its more of a gray color than full on blue. My lastest comp test was 220 across the board!!

blue smoke could also be turbo seal related.

it is not valve seals

smoke on acceleration means rings

smoke on deceleration means valve seals

do a compression and leakdown. If they come out fine then its most likely turbo seals. Hows your return line look?

On acceleration (piston rings) on deacceleration it (valve seals), cause you are creating a vacuum.

Why would rings just blow/leak above Vtec?? Someone said during acceleration it would be rings. If i stay below vtec it doesnt smoke at all. Due to the higher oil pressure, dont most Vtec cars smoke a little??

if its your rings. Go start your car, within a minute the exhaust should get smokey. Open your hood toss a beather filte ron your crank case vent and that should just be smoking like nuts. If the following it happing, you dont have **** rings. Could be turbo seal or just another typical get in to VTAKKKK smoking machine.

Not nessasarly.. I was blowing alot of blue smoke, hard acceleration, engine braking, and after idling for a while. Replaced the valve seals, and now it is perfect, no blue smoke what so ever. I think the oil can build up, and then burn off when the egt gets to a higher temp(in boost for example).
