Default Block Leakage

Ok i have a B18A1 Ls Block i have a Dx harness my friend i think by mistake put this sensor i think a knock sensor from a SOHC (d16y7)




into this hole







it right by the filter need to kno what goes their bought the block basically bare doing a swap into a ek so yea juss need help .........SRY for anyone that i bumped for this that had more important questions SRY AGEN!!!!! i juss need some help

i believe thats the oil pressure, also where you connect the oil feed line for turbo/lsvtec

That isn't a knock sensor. It is an oil pressure sending unit. It basically turns the idiot light on when the oil pressure drops to an unsafe level.

That is the right hole for that sensor and if you need an oil source in the future, that is where you would want to tap into.

now I think he needs to know, are all these threads the same, I know when i tapped for oil, i believe i used 1/8 npt thread size, can anyone confirm the size and are all honda OEM the same size(on sohc and dohc)

Oh. I guess my mind reading skills are off tonight.

From the pictures, it looks like it would fit. If it threads in, there shouldn't be a problem.

yea that the prob it doesnt fit any resoultion to my prob

i had one suggestion

Get a short bolt and silicone that BITCH so nothing comes out

then take the oil light off the cluster

Get the right sender unit. In the future, if you need to tap for an oil source, you will have to dig that bolt out and it won't be pretty. If you have your heart set on sealing the hole, I would recommend welding it instead. You never know if that bolt/silicone mess will come out while driving causing all your oil to leak out.

Also, if you aren't going to be using an oil pressure gauge, the stock oil sender/idiot light is the only thing you have telling you that your oil pressure is dangerously low and poses a threat to the health of the motor.

Just but the right oil sending unit. I really doubt it would be more than 20 bucks from any part store.

ok the sender was to SMALL the size of the hole was the size of a TRANNY BOLT alittle bit bigger it was huge idk how that happened but i put a BOLT in WITH JDWELD hopefully it will work 5 hrs from now i will refill the car with COOLANT and test agen I PRAY it holds
