Default big header, lose power?

this is for a stock head/block internal jdm itr

how much will be lose if i went with a rmf narrow 4-1 thats is made for a 2L instead of a 1.8L setup? reason why i ask is because i dont want to spend 2x for a header when i stroke/bore the block to 2L+

then again, i i dont want a massive power loss because it will be a while when i do upgrade the block

You wont know unless you put it on the dyno.

I have the Hytech 2.0L exhaust mani with the anti-reversion chambers. A great piece. Worth the money.

Regardless of all that, if you build the engine to a 2.0L your going to need a mani that can take the extra flow rates. Personally, if I was planning on doing that engine upgrade in the future, and I had the cash to get the mani now, I'd do it. I think your low end may die off however.

Don't quote me on that. As I am still learning how to look at flow charts and what not.

yeah i was thinking low end would suffer from backpressure loss but maybe gain up top because of higher flow? maybe it works the same as cats.

anybody have personal experience?

Research my posts.....you WILL LOSE ALOT of power. Might as well wait until u have all the upgrades that are going on and do them all at once.

Running a big header on a mild motor will lose TQ and HP I have dyno graphs to prove it. The motor doesnt fow enough to make power.

It looks nicer and sounds better, but I lost power even after I tuned it. So just wait til you have cams or whatever.

you can get a 4-1 narrow custom for a 2L or 1.8. it depends on your setup.
