Default Opinions on Custom Intake design

Hey guys,
I own a j's racing whale p*nis intake .. and im sort of sick of sucking in hot air all the time ..

so ive been looking around ..
i first got the j's for the plenum, for good response..
but the sri isnt cutting it for my new setup .. and i need either an icebox or a cai to get some cold air ..

and ive considered the mugen intake because of the velocity stack and power..
but spending 1k + (aud) for an intake is not a good idea..

but at the same time .. i really like the idea of a cai ..

so while looking around .. im sort of throwing up the idea of
having a cai + a velocity stack + a plenum..
im not if 3 +'s will give me great gain ..

but then again thats why im writing this post .. for ideas..

think of the design as an aem/injen style for the most part ..
with the first arm modifed to include a chamber + velocity stack ..

here is the pic below ..
any ideas welcome..

that's weridest drawing ever LOL

when i owned J's intake. i thought of making mine some how CAI. but. all i did was. run a air duct to the filter of the j's.. so somewhat CAI or ram air.. but it got messy becuase it was ghetto DIY

later. ditched the J's intake and got a Velocity stack and running a aem short ram now

lol ..
its meant to look like a blue print =p
anyway the point of this thread is to critique the design of the intake
not to critique the way i have chosen to design the design of the intake ..

I ran that for a while as well (w/a K&N drop in) until the glue fell apart and I got a comptech ice box

<wishes he had the mugen but cant seem to justify a Bling bling intake

look at the comptech ice box it is pretty much what you drew
VS on the bottom, big box for the filter, etc.

i have heard that a velocity stack does not work well with plenum, because it will lose the effect when the air hits an different piping diameter size.
