Hi, I have a 98spec that turns off while driving or sometimes at a stop. The engine light turns on and the car turns off. Its been doing that for some time now, but I can restart it immediately. Now it won't start at all. I've replaced the cap&rotor along with new spark plugs.

The engine revs but the car won't start
I do not hear the fuel prime or the click when I turn the key on.
When I plug the OBD2 Scan Tool into the data link connector - the fuel primes and click ----the car will start.

I cannot start the car without the OBD2 Scan tool plugged in and the car will turn off if I disconnect while driving. Any thoughts or suggestions?

 

I bet it's the main relay going out on u.
