Default 99 civic si cap and rotor on my ITR motor

I purchased A cap and rotor for a 99 up civic si at my honda dealer. (They still dont believe Honda and Acura are the same) in any event. There is a difference in size in the cap. .........so here is the question.

Will a b16 cap rotor fit a b18? there isnt an "Acura" dealer in my area.

try finding it online or something.....or just drive the extra distance and just go to the acura dealer

It should work. There should be no difference.

there is extra plastic around the area where the screw goes thru the rotor.

if I had any left at the house I would post up pix when I got home.... but now my rotors say Bosch.

Good stuff right there. That plastic piece has broken on a few of my civic and integra rotor buttons. Food for thought...

I believe they are different. Let me check MSDs site. I am almost positive they have different shapes in the housing. One is wider by 2mm i believe

ok I replaced just the rotor. The cap is the old one. I think the problem is the lady gave me a single cam cap at the dealer. Compared to the dual cam, its smaller. So I compared it to a friends single cam honda and its a match. As far as the rotor its on my car and runs fine , should I remove it?

Ok, i guess I will make my post a litle longer. First. YOU CANNOT USE A B16 CAP ON A ITR/GSR.

PN#8292 fits:
-90-91 Accord 2.2L
-98-02 Accord DX 2.3L
-93-97 Del Sol 1.5L and 1.6L
-92-00 Civic (except 96-00HX) 1.5L and 1.6L (NOTE: SOHC AND DOHC)
-97-01 CRV 2.0L
-92-93 Integra 1.7/1.8L (NOTE: VTEC AND NON-VTEC)
-94-01 Integra LS, GS, RS 1.8L

PN#8293 fits:
-Integra GSR 1.8L

http://msdignition.com/sci_8.htm

You have the correct cap for a B16.It will not work on a b18C distributer. I'm sorry you didnt read and take heed earlier to my advice.
