I dont know, since i took my FG1 off the lot. whenever i go from first to second, even if i shift on low RPM like 3,000, once i press the clutch and let go of the gas totally, the car makes a reving sound... ? anyone has an idea why? (yes i have tried letting the gas go before pressing the clutch also)

 

sounds alot like the rev hang probem that the fg2's were having. I had to get it reflashed at the dealer. you should check with the service tech at your local dealer and see if there is an update for your car.

 

I have that problem too, on any gear. It's almost like the RPM jumps up by another 300-500 after I let off the gas to shift.

 

Maybe the FG1 R18's have the same problem with the rev hang as the K20Z3 Si's.



the R18 has a DBW system, so I could see why it would have the same problems.

Could this be the jump i get after shifting gears sometimes? Sometimes, about a full second after letting the clutch out and hitting the gas, i feel a sudden surge.

I told a guy at the dealer... he said "it's probably just the VTEC" I never wanted to slam someones face into their desk as much as i did at that moment.

 

i dont know if my FG auto is same , but when i press on gas ( when ever parked) on low rpm range and let it go all sudden it goes like hangs then vrooom all sudden.... mb if i do a video will it help explain things better?
