Default Axle help

So a while back, I swapped my blown F22b1 for another of the same type. Only thing is, mine was originally equipped with a manual tranny and the swap was equipped with the auto. We swapped the trannies and re-install went fine. Since then I've been through 3 passenger side axles and now this one started clicking almost immediately after install.

What would cause this??? The only thing I can imagine is that when the MT bolts up to this originally AT equipped motor, the width of the setup (if that makes any sense) is off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.... I'm sick of swaping axles.

I would definately check the length of the installed halfshafts (axles). the outer CV joint (a rzeppa type CV joint) probably is the source of the clicking noise. If the axle is not operating in the right range it might wear faster, and the extra length (or shortness) could cause the dust boot to break wearing the joints faster. If you replaced the same one 3 times in a row there is definatly the problem.. that is not normal. Definatly take some measurements.

So is there any difference in the lengths of halfshafts or axles between the engine originally equipped with the MT and the one with the AT??

f and h series are completely interchangable. they all bolt up to the block the same. now how your mounting is where your problems occur. you engine sounds like its not sitting level. you may have to use spacers to even it out. auto and manuals differ as far as mounting. i know for me, when i go 5 speed from auto when using a jdm h series, i either reweld a 5 speed bracket, modify the existing auto bracket by redrilling or the newest trick for 4th gens only, is using a 5th gen accord or 4th gen prelude tranny bracket without rewelding or redrilling the existing bracket and using 2 3/8 spacers on the drivier side mount to even it out.

Sorry for any confusion but this is not an H series. I took the old blown motor out. Replaced that motor with the same motor (F22B1) from an originally automatic Accord. I took the 5 speed off my blown motor, put in on the new motor in place of the Auto tranny and dropped it back in. Now on my 3rd axle since the swap, this one is clicking as well.

oh yeah i know you stated f22. i was just saying that f and h series engine are compatible with one another and i was just giving a scenario on what's going to happen when i go from auto to manual. so i figured you may want to take in account that yours may just not be level. to the naked eye you probably can't tell.
