Default New guy with a problem.

I have an 05 type-s and lately its felt like its been draggin ***. Usually i could rip through the gears. It feels like somethings wrong. I think my clutch might be going out because when i shift from 1st to 2nd theres like a lagg in power almost like wheel spin but i know they arent spinning. Is that the clutch slippin like crazy? WOT in first does the same thing....feels almost like wheel spin because there is no power.

Oh yeah. Im also having the infamous 2nd gear grind issue. I took it to the dealership and they said that they couldnt find anything wrong even though i know it does it. I told him there was some service bulletin about it and he played stupid and he was the service dept. manager so i know he was full of ****. Could it be possible that they just dont want to fix it?

If you think it's the clutch then get on the interstate at a steady speed then punch it to the floor, if the RPMs go up and the car doesn't go foward then it's a good chance it's the clutch.
Could be injectors, did you get a bad batch of gas and clog them up?
Could be the ECU. Take it to the dealership and ask them to hook it up and read it to see if all is well in the brains.
How many miles are on the clutch? the car? And do you drive the crap out of it?

****, just punch it any of the lower gears while rolling. If you floor it and the RPM seems to climbing alot faster that car is, your clutch is probably fried. Happened to me a few months and that's how I checked.

You got a 2005! Take it to the dealership! WARRANTY! Oh yeah! Type S has a service bulletin on 3rd gear and 5th and 6th gear! I just replaced a 2005 clutch with a new fly wheel just a little over 20k! Customer paid for nada! Got to love warranty! 5 year or 50k miles

ok....its not the clutch. It seems to be running fine now. Its an 05 and its got 24k on the clock. Might have been a bad batch of gas. I usually use Chevron 91 octane. (highest i can get) but i remembered that i filled up with Shell V-Power a couple weeks ago and thats when it started. I just filled up with the Chevron a couple days ago and the car is back to life. Either that or im going crazy. I really need to press the grind issue with the stealership. I hope they fix it.

Are there any service bulletins for the 02-04s? that you know of?

(not thread jacking, I'm sure everyone on here would like to know this)

OEM Service bulletin is 02-016 (notchy feeling when shifting) Replace 5th 6th gear and shifting cables. 3rd gear is a different service bulletin
