Default ***B20, B18B, or LS-Vtec (Turbo)***

Which would you guys recommend to turbo? The B20, B18B, or an LS-Vtec motor. I have the money to purchase anyone of these. Just wondering which one is more reliable, which one will make more power, and which is more fun to drive...

I would say if youve got the money then ls/vtec is the way to go...will definately make the most power, but the vtec head swap will add sigificant cost to your build over a b18b or b20.

Thanks for the info. I can get the Vtec heads for cheap. So that wouldnt be a problem. Are they reliable? Or would a B20 or B18B be more safe than an LS-VTEC

I'd say LS/Vtec or LS. B20 would be great, especially if you sleeved the block. Some say they're prone to cranking sleeves. I think it's more in the tune then anything.. Just go with what's easiest for you to build. they're all reliable setups.. LS would probably be the cheapest and easiest build, IMO of course.

I'm runing a sleeved 2.0 Ls/vtec. Daily drive it and still get 28-29mpg. The car has been mid 10's with a 139 mph trap.

Good luck with whatever you decide on.

As long as you build everything right and dont take shortcuts (including the tune) then an lsvtec will certainly be reliable.

allstokhonda did you get tuned by rlz or just built? im going to be getting tuned within the month by howard.
