Default 89 civic 4 dr lx dpfi help with ecu

is there any way i can pull the saved troble codes from ecu?

There is an LED window on the ECU. it will blink a code when the car is on or started.

mine did. I had to undo the batt. cable to get rid of them.

so........just lift the carpet under pass floor w/ key on and count lights. even thow the dash check light is off....... am i right? i hate this ecu y cant i hook up a $1000 comp link from school to read codes and run spec test on all sensors. sorry had to ramble

yeah turn the key to the on position and look at the red light on the ecu...1 short blink = 1,,1 long blink = 10...so for example 3 short blinks is code 3...1 long and 2 short is code 12..

sorry speeker that way if for the old ecu pre 89 if i rember becuse mine reads ................=16

i think that's a diff. gen.

Mine just reads a bunch of short blinks.

ok just went out and turnd key till radio turned on and no blinks.................. so now what?

Your codes were most likely cleared at one point.

You have to go to the next position on the key where the fuel pump clicks on

thats wrong^^ might be right for other ecus but a stock 91 ecu its all just short blinks. if you have no codes then your all good.. why do you want to know what codes you used to have?
