my friend is planning on buying an ebay cat and it says that the cat is a direct fit, but its 2.5 inch piping? idunno, sounds kinda fishy to me.. thanks though

you can make it work by hacking off the flanged ends....but the effect of going from 2 in into 2.5 back out to 2 inch isnt ideal...personally i would try to find a 2 in cat OR just drop the cash to upgrade the whole system to 2.5....your call either way, but finding a 2in cat is easier/cheaper

it wouldnt be horrible but it would probably mess up your back pressure a little, which is what exhaust is all about...stick w/ the 2 in and you'll be fine...but if you're obd2 make sure you get one with the bung welded in so you can just plug in your oxygen sensor without having to buy a new bung, cut a hole, and weld it in

 

i don't know if i'm OBD2. My year prelude is 1993. i think's its obd1 correct?

yes you are obd1....there for yuo should only have 1 o2 sensor....so just have em weld it up and you'll be good to go

did you mean have them weld the o2 sensor on the cat? hopefully it's not what u meant.
