Default White smoke on my Prelude 1995

Hi,
I have white smoke from the exhaust pipe whenever I step on the gas pedal when I am running. Any idea that I need to fix.
While back, someone advice me to put oil leak oil when I change oil. It does not help.

White smoke is usually coolant. Run a compression test to see if perhaps you have a bad headgasket. Also look for coolant in your oil, or oil in your coolant

when your car is cold, remove the rad cap and start the car. if coolant shoots up, you will need a new headgasket...

My h22 dose that to but im not running a cat it blows out black and white smoke in between shifts. So..
1) If ur not running a cat or have a really old beat up 1 on there that mite be why.
2) Just check ur coolent i check the coolent in my resivor all the time and never need to add any so i no its not burnning any. So check yours.
3) If you do need to keep adding coolent then i would pressure test to see whats up.

Hi,
Thanks for all your advice. I have some questions.
1) How do I know if there is coolant in the oil?
If you use the oil stick to check the oil and see if there is some water on the stick? or do the oil change to see any water in the oil?
2) How do I know there is oil in the coolant? Should I check the reservor tank if there is oil in there?
3) How do I do the pressure test? Can you buy the kit at auto store and do it yourself?

I appriciate alot your feedback.

*you will no if there is coolent in the oil by taking off the radiator cap and you will see the oil floating above the coolent.

* All i no is that sears has them i would think an auto store would have it but im not sure but sears is a for sure. And when you buy the kit it will show you step by step on how to do that.

All 4G's get a slight leak in the top rail of the radiator if run in decent heat.

Mine happened not too long ago and the resevoir went down really quickly so watch out. I filled it up and put in some radiator stop leak and so far so good. It saved me a good $160. Well, $155 if you count the fluid.
