can i get pix of how you guys mounted your slim fans? also which wire is which using as pull? mines came with some sort of zip tie guessing to run right through the fin. doesn't seem stable... or yes??

well, mine came with these crappy tabs that i guess you use to mount them, but they would always slip out. so i glued them in backwards, and then zip tied them to the place the old fan bolted up. i could take a pic, but its dark right now and i dont wanna go outside

 

yeah those tabs seem like they will tear up the fins. the 14" might work but i have the 12"

 

i got the 12" as well. thats why i glued the tabs in backwards, this way they dont touch the fins


its really stable too, i also ziptied the bottoms to the lower mounting points so it has the 4 point harnesss action going on

 

i like the clean look, i'll try just the tabs, if it doesn't work i'll reinforce it another way.
