i think i got ripped off>
i had some coilovers put in. skunk 2 on gsr shocks.
now i noticed the didtn have the top metal piece and read below
and i say how thre suppose to look./
but read the pics.
the part that let you adjust sits right on top of the car suspension.
theres no rubber or or the bottom piece of shock.
ive been driving it like this for ab out a month

So you have a sleeve coilover and it wasn't mounted on top of the factory spring perch?
There might be a retaining clip or something, but I don't have experience with stock shocks and sleeve coilovers.

Those are completely different shocks so refering them to stock is not comparable. If your speaking of the front looking like its sitting all the way on the shock itself like this:

Are you talking about that chrome piece in the bottom of the pic? You think that it is a collar for the adj sleeve to sit on? Is that what you are asking about?

a bumpstop is just that. it prevents the strut rod from bottoming out when you hit bump, dips, etc. if your car is to low and with out one, eventually it will bottom out causing the strut to pop, leaking fluid every where.
the location of it should be on the strut rod itself. if your dust boot is not on you can see it.
