Default PCT pistons in B18C

hey i have been doin some research and i realise that the PCT pistons yield a whoppin 12.0:1 CR in the GSR motor.

I want to know would i have clearence issues with the valves and pistons if i place them in my block ?

What about rods? can the stock GSR rods fit the pistons or will i have to mill a bit to make them fit?
would that throw off balance on the crank, if i mill the rods?

i am also thinking about getting Skunk 2 pro 2 cams?
what about clearence issues with these cams and the PCTs ?

compression is more like 13:1

rods will fit the pistons fine

degree the cams and check your clearnaces to see if it will clear. no one can tell you for sure.

oh wow....i was hoping it was aroudn 12.0:1.

with skunk cams i really think i may be risking my pistons slappin the valves. are there any other stock honda piston that carry me to around 11.4-12.0 in a GSR block and GSR head

I think the JDM type r pistons are much better for a gsr head and block. Comp. is around 12.0:1 if not, the JDM Gsr pistons are like high 10's low 11's. I was looking into the same thing for my 97 Gsr.

B16a pistons should get you near 11.5:1...If using a GSR head...If you need 12.0:1 get flat faced valves and/or a thinner head gasket...I thought PCT pistons in a GSR block made 12.5:1, while a LS-VTEC using PCT pistons would yeild closer to 13.0:1??!! Hmmm

if you could see if you can trade ur GSR head for a B16 head. that will lower your Compression ratio. I have PCT's in a GSR block with B16 head with out flat valves and if i remember right my compression is 12.3:1 You wont have any clearance issues with that setup.

ok sounds cool. It is a JDM B18C that i have right now. i want to bump the compression.

would it really be good to get the PTC or would i be better off gettin High comp forged pistons?
