Default ***Going to turbo the D16. Need some input...***

Just wondering what are some procedures to take to make at least 250-300hp out of my D16-T. Ive heard of some internals i.e. cams, pistons etc. Can you guys point me into the best parts for this motor and where to buy them. Thanks!

YOu can basically do it on stock internals with a good tune.. I wouldnt push the stock rods that far though but some ppl have done it..

Id say that with pistons, rods and ARP head studs youre good to make your block hold 350-400whp... the rest is Fuel and turbo setup

Take your time and do a lot of research. Youll find a lot of peoples setups with dyno numbers available on here or HMT, TurboD16, SOHCHonda, Dseries, etc.

Research is key!!

I like the power your making, what kind of setup are you running. I.E. manifold, turbo, internal if any etc... daily driven?

I'd start by getting a Y8. Cheap and better to work with.

Pistons won't dictate turbo lag...

I know they wont, I meant the turbo. Would I have turbo lag because of the size of the turbo.

You're asking the wrong question. ANY turbo will have some lag. If you are trying to ask if the lag will be "excessive", then I don't think you will have any issues.

With that turbo, you won't be seeing boost till later.

250-300whp works on a bseries motor, I dont think a d16 will hold up as long if you take the power that high.

A stock D will be pretty much at its limits at those levels. Then again, a stock B would be stressed out also at those levels. Less, sure, but its still a lot of power over stock levels.

I beg too differ, compression ratios can have an effect on turbo lag.
