Default ACKKKK!! OMG HELP!!! bolt stuck in block!!

ACK!! I'm a dumb ***. was trying to install my autometer water temp sender into the engine today, and it was goin in fine, until SNAP! the bolt flew out and fell on the ground... it broke off inside the engine!! arrrggh. all is not lost tho, as the sender is solid, so it's not gonna leak out or nothing, and the car still runs fine. Here's my question, should I try to take this to a shop and have them drill it out, or should I leave it in there, since it's fine, and tap the line somewhere else? If I'm gonna tap in somewhere else, can someone please tell me what hardware I will need to tap in to the cooling line somewhere else...

Thanks alot

I appreciate everything

Evan Richardson

just take a home drill
take a small size bit and drill it out slowly
going froms small to just a tad smaller size
it should come out pretty easy..
but take your time doing it..not to damage anything else around or behind it ..

can i do this with the engine still in there? I would think that i need to lift it up at least 4" to geta drill in there, will dry to find a smaller drill, or maybe a dremmil and one of those bendable drill things. I'd rather take the fucked up piece out, since that hole is easier to install a new sender in, than installing one somewhere else.

Yep, an easy out should work! You drill a small hole in the bolt, then insert the easy out (I tap it a little with a light hammer to set it) and then turn the easy out and the bolt should back out fine!! Good luck!
