Default B16 clutch change, but wont engage??

I have a 94 civic with a b16 swap and 99 si tranny. I put in an exedy stage 1 kit/w an ACT 9lb flywheel. I changed the slave cylinder but still wont engage. I even tried putting a nut behind the the pushrod to extend it but still nothing. Please help as my car has been down several weeks.

Quick question, when the preasure plate is put in, is the middle supposed to stay at an angle or get flat as it is tightened. (the middle being where the bearing would touch?)

Thanx

I had a problem where I could put it into 1-5 with no problems, but not reverse.

It turned out that my shift fork wasn't put on correctly.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by schlit &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">When you bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel, the diaphram spring (thing with a bunch of fins on it should be angled out away from the flywheel. When you push the clutch pedal, you're pushing that bearing into the diaphragm spring, flattening it out, and pulling the pressure plate off the clutch disk.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

When I bolted the preasure plate on the diaphram became flat. It had a little angle but not like b4 it was bolted on. B4 removing my old cluch it looked the same. When I compared the old preasure plate with the new one they looked the same.

Could it be ne thing else????

Clairify "engage" ie, you cant shift into gears without grinding or the car doesnt move when you put it in 1st.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yes, I cant get in any gears. And if i try to force it it only grinds and still doesnt go in. The clutch pedal is adjusted all the way out. I changed the slave cylinder and the master cylinder so Im stumped......????

Like was asked before, did you bleed your clutch system? Pull the rubber boot off the release arm on the tranny and have someone press the clutch and make sure it's moving all the way or any at all, if not bleed the clutch again.

i have this same problem as the poster of this topic. i was driving normally and puc=shed in the clutch, felt a pop...no pressure and the clutch in non-responsive...

I changed the master and slave to the clutch and bled the lines like 15 times, and no luck, i have a "soft" clutch pedal, it wont shift gears, the clutch pedal isnt responsive.

what do i have to replace?

if you push in the clutch peddle and you felt a pop its most likely the spring in the clutch disc came out some how. its done it to me twice. but i dont understand why you wouldnt have a soft peddle if you already checked and changed avery thing.
