Heater blows out air just not hot air..
Alright today im trying to get my heater to work... I know my climate control is shot, and i have winter right around the corner and i have no heat... Now why I cant get heat I dont know.. By the way my **** is broken and stipped and like most my plate is cracked in half... I try to turn the heat up manually but it barely turns.. How can I manually turn up the heat? just as long as i can turn the heater on and off till I get a new climate controll that will be great.
Any help like always is well appreciated

does your valve work (the one at the firewall under the hood)?
is your actuator(behind the **** on dash) busted and not moving the cable(crx has 2, one moves the valve and the other moves the flap in the vents that mixes hot and cold air)?
my control is shattered and I have to lift to hood and move that valve by hand
you will have to disconnect the cable on that valve(i did) if your in dash control is busted

if its anything like the 89 civic which i tihnk it should be there are two cables that control the temperature. there is one that goes underneath ( just follow the cable) and one that goes through the firewall for some reason. they usually get really corroded in the firewall so i used some silicone spray and loosened it up, i dont know if you'll be able to do both at the same time but thats what changes temperature.
Yes mine is also broken so im just trying to get it to turn on full heat until i get a new climate control.. how would i do that? just open the valve by the firewall under the hood? Would that be all the way to the left or to the right?

Well i have my climate control hooked up but pulled out so i was pulling them from inside the car all the way to the left and to the right and neither do a thing

forget using the cable to move the valve
disconnect the cable from the valve undert the hood(its behind the passegr side of the throttle body) and move it by hand
u may have to work it back and forth, I did, cuz iz will sieze up when the cable stops moving it
wait for the hoses to get hot, when you move the valve(sorry I cant remember where to set it) see if the hose on the firewall side gets hot, then you know the setting
if your valve is not rusted shut, you may need to move that other cable to its extreme opposite to get the flap to close off cold air, or it has come loose from the flap itself

Well i did that and the radiator fan came on... I had the car running constant for about a hour and it started to blow out a little warm air.. more from the feet the the head.. but no more then that... I also found it odd to find condensation under my dash and no pressure in my cooling system when the car was fully heated
maybe your heater core is clogged.(the moisture/lack of pressure makes me think a leak)
have you back flushed your system
you can buy the store kit or preferably have a shop do it, they will put more pressure
u could do both, the store kits are cheap
btw on an earlier post.....my fuse #8 was blowing cuz I had a short in my adapter to my radio.

hmm well the only problem that I have having now is the condensation coming from near the core... Now another thing its been doing, its been making like a spraying noise like its spraying out all my pressure.
