Default heater not working right, please help!!!

[IMG]Okay, I have a 96' GSR, and I'm having trouble fixing my heater. The problem started when it was stuck on heat, I forced the slide bar to A/C and I was fine for the summer. Now that it is Winter, my heat isn't coming on! I bypassed the air control cable, and went straight to the heater control right by the firewall under the hood. I manualy opened the valve. Now, Like another poll I read in here...I am getting a little bit of warm air while I drive, and the defrost seems to work, but the vents don't blow out warm air. Does anyone know if there is another valve, maybe under the dash by the heater core, that needs to be switched on to get warm air through the vents. Any help or suggestions would be greatly apprieciated!

From the slider there's a cable going down to some air damper control. I think it's down near the floor on the passenger side of the console. Then from there, there's another cable going out to the valve in the heater hose. You probably have to move the lever for the air damper, not just the valve.

Or you could replace the cables...
