Default 96-98 vs 99-00 engine bay size ?Q?

i was curious if anyone knows the actually engine bay difference between the
96-98 / 99-00. Im looking to buy a new header for my B17 w/ B16 head, and the header says "4-1 header 99-00 civic si b16a dohc"...since the b16 is not stock in that year, would it still fit in my 96 coupe?

i need help asap
thx

no, they make b series headers and d series headers. dont buy d series headers thinking they will fit your b engine.

ps: a b16 did come stock on the 99-00 civic si, the b16a2.

the headers dont care about the chassis. how do you think people fit b18's in crx's? the chassis doesnt matter when you talk about headers fitting.

No, this is not always true.

You have to take how tall the block is into consideration as well.

CRX's have nothing in common under the hood. It is comparing apples and oranges. Both fruits, yes, but they taste different. The subframes and the way the engine mounts is different. The front xmember on a crx and ef is much closer to the engine block.

Get a header meant for the EM1 and you should be fine.

It won't, it won't clear the oil pan, thats why you have to take these things into consideration.

beat me to it. An ITR header on a b16 will sit lower to the ground than a b16 header on a b16 since the b18c block is taller.
