i recently got a b18c swap into my 97 ex. i wanted 2 buy some headers 4 it but i don't know wich ones to get, most sites only ask u what year and model the car is, not if it has been modified. i wanna get the right ones, a direct bolt-on with little or no moiication needed, any help would be appreciated [IMG][/IMG]

all b series headers are the same, so buy a 99-00 honda civic si headers. as for closeness in fitting, thats probably your best bet, the engine bay of the civic si is the closest thing to your engine bay. and it has a b series motor, and all b series can fit the same headers.

Don't the B18's have a taller deck height which can place a header too close to the ground if put on a B16?

try to get a gsr header, since ur motor's a gsr. if u get a ls or b16 header, they'll be too long so ur cat won't fit and u'll have to customize it. i don't think a b16 will work good though, might hit ur oil pan.

Don't waste your time with a bs dc sports or anything like that. If you want power you gotta shell out otherwise its not gonna net you much of any gains.

Dip-****. Serious guy, you think a ****** "Megan" header is the same as an RMF, or that ALL B series headerssssssssss fit the same?? You clearly have absolutely no clue what you are talking about, B series motors have ONE cylinder head, why would you say they use multiple header(s)? B16A's has a shorter deck height than the LS/B20/GSR/ITR/CTR blocks, therefor fit differently. Yes, I know it's hard to understand genius. To the O.P., if you want the best...I recommend Toda or SMSP. I personally run the Toda and the power/quality/ground clearance is awesome. If you're looking budget, hard to believe but the DC 4-1 makes decent power...just has shitty clearance. The Edelbrock with a 2.5 collector mod is another good option.

I feel your Pain, I had the same issues with my EK b18c1 swap, ended up just modifying the cat to fit the stock manifold, B16 wont clear the oilpan, LS header has a weird bend in it near the oil pan, the 94-99 gsr is way too short, Type r is only an inch short, The only thing I found that was a direct fit was a JDM GSR header but it has a 2.5 in collector. I think that a 00-01 GSR header might work but didnt want to shell out any more cash to find out, I do know that the 00-01 GSR has the o2 in the header and is longer than the 94-99 but not sure if its quite long enough or if the collector flange is at the right angle to bolt on to the cat. Ive been trying to find someone with a 00-01 so that I could take a look but havent found anyone to send pics or let me check out their car. Good luck man, if you find one that is a direct bolt on let me know what it is please.
