why don't you ask the shops how long it will take. They may be backed up and it may take longer, or they may be able to get it done quickly. Just ask them they're the only ones who can give you an accurate estimate.

One day to who knows how long as they may be backed up like he said. I doubt one day as the shop will probably want to get more labor outta ya.

Call the shop, it is the only way to know. I know blacktraxx is one of the better known shops in the bay area so their backup is out the door. I'm not familar with Redzone but call them to find out. 2 weeks is probably a safe bet if they run into problems with your donor motor maybe 2 months..

It varies. The shop that I got my first H22 swap done at took 3.5 weeks and all the work wasnt done when I got my car back. Thats because instead of them working, they were cooking on the grill in the back. I caught them doin that twice. It depends on if the shop bullshits or not! On a side note, every motor I have pulled took no more than about 5 hours to completely remove everything(with hand tools).

ive swaped motors in under 7 hours so really it can be done in a day if you know what your doing, and have the right tools, a lift, my toolbox(ima mechanic) clean shop, and a hoist and it just falls together

yeah, ifter doing my swap and constantly ******* aroudn with other 4th gens, it'd take a full day of work... go to a shop and ask them when they coudl fit it in and how long it'd be there for. don't drop off you car when they won't get to working on it until a week later... either that or find some guys to help you... just make sure you have all the tools and parts you need to or even MIGHT need to replace

+1 on that one. I have a friend who has his CRX in the shop bc he didnt have all the right parts or had to replace the parts. If he had everything right, it would've been done in 2 days. its been almost a week now.

I've done a h22a swap in a 4th gen prelude in about 5hrs with everything running smoothly.

I'd have to agree, call up the shop.

I had a person who had done swaps before, me (clueless) and a friend (clueless) and it took us one night....9pm-6am. And we ran into stupid problems. Take 3-4 hrs off that time if it was problem free...
