Default going to the track for the first time! questionss

I have a 94 coupe with a b18c1 in it.. im going to put my steelies back on and take rear seats out and subs.. i have a question on launching and shifting... do i just rev 3grand and drop clutch? and when im shifting do i hold the gas down when im going to shift i just push clutch in and change gear while the gas is still to the floor? or will it expletive my tranny up?

people have there preference shifting. try looking in the archives. also 3 grand might be good with street tires. I know you wouldn't wanna launch high,because you'll just end up spinning the tires. good luck

hard to say.... you ever try launchin the car on the street?

whatever u can do on the street, you can add alittle more too it at the track on a properly prepped track

if you can, go around the waterbox... if you have to go thru it, try burning your tires up abit till they smoke some...you gotta get that water off those tires

then just try experimenting with different launches. clutch drops and clutch feathering.. see what it likes. watch your 60 foot and see what improves it.
