Default Changing cams in a B16

How do you know when your at tdc...and which is the #1 cylinder

The cam gears have the word "up" etched on them. they will be facing up. there's another set of marks (3 oclock on the ex cam, 9 oclock on in cam) etched on the cam gears that will be looking at each other and will be parallel with the head when you're at tdc.

#1 cylinder is next to the timing belt.

you'll need to adjust valve lash afterwards. I like to keep it simple and go with .007" on both
there's some nice write-ups in the itr faq thread.
