Default hi flow cats

http://shopping.lightningmotor...age=1

that there ^ is a link to random technology 's hi-flow cat for the 2.2l 94-95 accords. now, i'm interested in purchasing it if i shall see some power gain while maintaining street legality. it is my understanding that back-pressure is a bad thing, but i have heard arguments for both sides. would this be worth it?
thanks.

i would just get a magnaflow one off of ebay for like a $100 or something, back pressure does matter but it wont affect it much if you are just getting a high flow cat or simple exhaust mods

hmm. i do like my top end. got a taste of prolonged 135mph the other day. damn that's addictive. hate to get off topic, but my lightweight crank pulley, would that give top or bottom end? its a ton lighter than stock, and i believe its a smaller diameter. i dunno. any help?

i just got a hi flow cat the other week. im not too sure what brand it was but it was a good one. I paid 200 for parts and labor, my low end was bumped up to 2.8 then before 2.3 rpms before it started to pull. My mpg did inprove to 25 city and 30 hwy .. it used to be 16 city and 19 hwy(NOTE: THE SPARK PLUG FOILER..trick only turns off the CEL but mpg is still poor)

EXHAUST NOTE.

It did indeed get a tad bit deeper, aswell the the deep hum drone does go up alot while crusing, so beware of that.

I have a Random Tech. cat on my CD7 and my butt dyno was kinda dissappointed. I didn't feel much of an increase, if any at all.

I had similar results with my '99, which isn't surprising since we have he same motor. Although, I lost 1 mpg city, and highway mpg stayed the same (compared to a working OEM cat). I didn't need any O2 sensor trick... with the Magnaflow high-flow cat I don't get any CELs. My exhaust go a LOT louder. So I replaced it with a Magnaflow cat-back. It's better, but still a little loud at times.

You'll lose more on the low end than you'll gain on the high. I personally don't feel it was worth it for daily driving.

My 98 is soley a daily driver. Is there any other cat whether it be OEM replacement or high flow that you can recomend that will not break the bank and be in the price range of a Magnaflow?

Any muffler shop should be able to get you a OEM-like cat, for only a little bit more than a Magnaflow cat, if not the same price.
