Default ITR Oil / DC Manifold

My mates got an itr 2000, hes put 10w40 Magnatec Oil in, is this good ****? what effects will it have if it isnt good ****?

Also, he recently put a DC SS Manifold on, it seems to be making a Horrible ticking/blowing noise, is this normal? what could be causing this?
He didnt replace the manifold gasket - could this be a problem?
Cheers for any responses.

Thats what I mean, its coming from either the collector (bottom end of the manifold) or where it bolts to the head.

Not likely, Ive never replaced the exhasut mani gasket. I would be willing to bet he has a leak at the collector. He is using a donut gasket, correct? What cat is he runnign?

Where the manifold meets the "decat" pipe is probably where the leak is....

Not sure of the SS headers, but Ive had a dc ceramic crack in multiple places on me, as well as 3 other personal firsthand experiences.

If its making a sound like rushing air, and a little raspy at higher RPM then its okay, because thats how that header is. If you dont like it your going to have to find another header that doesnt have that quality
