my guess would be they are same since when you swap in the jdm you dont havta buy a new alternator.

thanks guys, i was just wondering cause my distributor went bad and i know theyre different, but befor i got a new one the car sat for like 2 months, then friday i put it on but the battery was dead so i started it with a diff battery just to check the timing and all, i put the connection back on my dead battery and drove it up the block and back. then i got a new battery yesterday but when im driving and all and i turn the lights on the rpms dip a little so i think i might need a new alternator or do you think its something else.
