Default Finally went to the Track....

Its Sunday and Im bored so I figured Id share my first time at the track expierence, anyways, I finally went and raced my 93 CX, setup here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1560810
Like I said it was my first time ever drag racing, it went alright... Im going back this weekend to try and break into the 13s, but Its going to be hard with an Open Diff, STOCK 300k civic suspension and Kumho 711s, and PIR being a horrible track anyone that has raced there can agree, anyways

R/T .460
60' .2.447
1/8 9.3
MPH 79.03
1/4 14.323
MPH 98.93

That was my best run I launched at about 2500 and dumped the clutch and feathered the throttle, I couldnt seem to break my 2.4 60 foots, I started with a 15.7 and worked my way down with 3 runs, I was just starting to get a good feel for the car at launching, but I ran out of time, so Hopefully the Pacific Northwest does hate on me too much and wont rain this weekend

Went back to the track last night with traction bars, Omni Power sport coilovers, and BFG drag radials, made about ten runs, this is my best

R/T .735
60' 2.371
1/8 9.6
MPH 76.66
1/4 14.658
MPH 97.11

I tried launching everywhere from as low as 2000 to as high as 6000rpm, the tires were at 20 psi so im sure they need to be aired down quite a bit, I always preload, and just side stepped the clutch

try feathering the clutch instead of just dropping it.

Id try launcing at around 6k and feathering the clutcht without changing your throttle position until you feel the car is going to hook up and then floor it.

This seems to work pretty good for me, 2.1 on streets and the rare 2.0
