Default steering wheel shaking???

everytime i drive on the freeway and step on my brakes, my steering wheel vibrates. i askd my friends about it, some say its unbalanced tires, bad alignment, bad axle, bad rotors so yeaa i dunno. i just got new brake pads installd and swappd 1 tire cuhz it blew and replaced an axle recently if that matters. btw i drive a 97 civic hatch with a jdm d15b . what do you guys think?

If the vibration is only present when you are braking, the culprit is most likely uneven deposits on the rotors. If the rotors have enough material left, you can have them resurfaced, or you can simply replace them, as they aren't terribly expensive.

If it only happens when you brake at high speed, you probably have warped front rotors (since the steering wheel shakes). Either have them machined or replace them. That should fix it.

Steering wheel shakes only when braking....warped rotors, you may be able to turn them, but if not rotors are fairly cheap to replace.
