i was wondering if you put in a skunk2 or blox IM onto the GSR head would it throw CEL codes because of the secondary butterfiles ? if it does what needs to be done to not show the CEL ?

when i did the skunk2 it didnt show a check light

 

There is no feedback to the ECU for the IAB. So no, it will not throw a code.

 

not to thread jack, but does loss of the secondary butterflies also cause a loss in power at higher rpms?

The loss of the IAB causes a loss of power in the low and mid RPM range. The stock 94-01 GSR IM is a decent design to balance power and drivability.
