Exhaust leak and air fuel meter....
I have been noticing my air/fuel meter has been acting kind of strange during it's sweeping motion. I removed my exhaust manifold today to find three really major exhaust leaks (2 leaks at flange, and one broken weld which started to melt the header) upstream of the O2 sensor. (OBD1) I checked all plugs and they all have the same color, nice light brownish on ceramic.
My question... can an exhaust leak do funky things to the air fuel meter if it is before the sensor? Will an exhaust leak melt a pipe after an extended period of time?

The people that welded the headers might have burned thru and ended up with only a thin layer of metal which then rusted away... I'm pretty sure it wouldn't melt unless you were running lean.
I suppose an exhaust leak could do something to the meter since the way the exhaust works it to pull (not really pull but you get the idea) air out of the cylinders so fresh air fuel mixture can enter the cylinders, since you got a hole there you are sucking in and blowing out gasses... disrupting flow blah blah blah.
