Default Maintenance Reminder Light?

Ok... my buddy has an 06 Honda Civic EX and we are trying to clear the codes (Maintenance Reminder Light) after doing an oil change. I tried the search and I guess it may not be working right now. Any help... links... anything would be appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

And yes... I did go back page by page due to the search bringing up not a single thing and went back as far as 15 pages.

OK... so, I went and pulled the info from AllData and will post it here. If there are any errors in my write up please feel free to correct them as it is early and coffee is kicking in. I will put it to test in a little while as I will be doing this oil change soon. Apparently, this is the same procedure as my Fit.

<U>Resetting the Engine Oil Life Indicator</U>

Your dealer will reset the display after completing the required maintenance service. You will see “OIL LIFE 100% - on the odometer/trip meter display the next time you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.

If maintenance service is done by someone other than your dealer – reset the maintenance minder as follows:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
2. Press the Sel/Reset button repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
3. Press and hold the Sel/Reset button for about 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and maintenance item code(s) will blink.
4. Press and hold the Sel/Reset for more then 5 seconds. The maintenance items code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100%.
