hi i did a search on a blinking oil light and it came up with nothing. the problem i have just started. i was driving down the street and made a left hand turn and i noticed the oil light blinking. i was a very short distance form home so i drove home with it blinking. i turned the car off and then started it again and the oil light went off light normal. i did this a few times on/off. the light was acting normal. i waited a while for the engine to cool then checked the oil and it was at the normal level. what would cause the light to blink?

Mine did this for a week or so after i switched from synthetic to conventional oil with my oil level on full as well. I couldn't figure out why though, but it hasn't done it since so i am not to worried about it.

The oil light is pretty solid that it only comes on when you lose oil pressure, so maybe it had something to due with the turn/movement of oil. Little strange, but I'd change my oil/filter just to make sure the filter isnt clogged or anything.

That's weird, I just did a search on 'oil light blinking' and got 26 results.
Then did a search on 'oil light' and got 403 results.
