b20 vtec has a long stroke so low compression non turbo is not too reliable and low compression turbo is better but its still turbo and that cut engine life expectancy by half so if you got the money to buy a new engine when the b20 blows go for it but i would go type r or gsr personally

im assuming youre looking at b20's because you cant afford a gsr or type r?
if thats the case i'd suggest a turbo-d. that way you can spend more money on tuning and good reliable parts to have a solid turbo d.

read my sig.. i have a gsr now.. just looking to build something reliable ready for higher boost levels.. i was thinking the b20 would allow more tqe..

the set up ive been looking at now is pretty good i just dont know if it will have enough tqe..i think i should just go with this.

http://www.laskeyracing.com/shop/bseries.htm

along with a headgames p&p head looking to keep the stock cams and just upgrade the valve springs,retainers..c.r will be 9.5:1 arp's and a 2mm inlinepro
h/g
full-race stage 2 turbo with a neptune by evans tuning..
comp clutch stage 4
type r final drive
skunk2 intake mani
ericks racing t/b
full race traction bar
that should put me in the 12s in a gutted eg hatch on slics easy

My dream build, thats a hard one. I think i would have to go Prowler body with a nice 350 blown to all hell. Yea thats my dream build.

Dream build motor, one of the Ferrari F1 motors. Man that would be bad *** to build one of those and hear it rip. Or maybe a top fuel dragster.

lol.. yea my dads a vette head (ls1) 04 z06 405hp with a slp package.. now he's around 480whp.. he has no idea how fast imports can be so im cashing things in and going for broke to beat his ***.. being a coal miner it shouldnt take too long.. he ran a 12.19 @?? at m.i.r last summer.. im all about building the most nukeproof engine i can and boosting it.. full-race seems to be the best turbo kit out for the money.. it doesnt include fuel management but thats ok.. walbro fuel pump, injectors and a decent tune i will be on his *** for sure..

are the dart heads any good or should i just keep the stock gsr and have headgames do their thing?

by the way.. the ls1 chevy v8 has won more awards then any v8 in the world..my friend works for chevy in michigan.. he sent me an e-mail a while back and argued that the ls1 and ls6 are hands down the best v8s in the world.. now i believe him.. i guess americans can do something right after all.. as long as it doesnt say ford on it..lolol
