Default 92-95 civic LCA problems.

alright I disconnected my front LCA's while doing my swap the other night so now im trying to put it all back together, but when im trying to tighten the nut onto the bolt on the very bottom under the brakes the whole bolt spins with the nut.....so how am i suposed to hold the bolt still while the nut is tightening?

im assuming youre talking about the rear lca bushing, although your description sucks.

that nut should have been welded to the trailing arm. youre saying its not welded anymore?

cant you just use a wrench to hold it in place?

sounds like your talking about the front lower ball joint if thats it you can try jacking the lca up and try to tighten it that way. it will put pressure on the ball joint to keep it from turning.

alright i missed that. it didnt make sense quite frankly. now i have a clue what youre talking about.

it happens frequently because balljoints get worn and castle nuts become deformed after being used.

my solution is to buy new castle nuts from the dealer.

my other solution is to buy a set of taps and dies to rethread the used castlenut and balljoint.

if neither of those are available to me, i break out my impact gun. that usually zips it on.
