aaaaahhhhhhhh, i got an email and read up on the website http://www.redh.co.uk/ about it. It's going to be released March of 2007 in the UK. They're calling it a "superhatch" with a 2.0L engine dohc vtec. Not only that but vtec stays engaged for even LONGER. Vtec now engages at 5200rpm all the way to 8000rpm with a light that turns on when it's engaged (sweeeeet!). It's got a very aerodynamic body and larger/wider wheels, 225/40 ZR18.
yaaaaaaah, read the whole story at that website under the "developments" page.
the gallery's pretty sweet too.

I'll believe it when it's up on one of Honda's official sites, in a respectable auto magazine (Car & Driver, etc.), or in an auto show.
That picture looks like they went over a photo of a Civic Si with Photoshop & Illustrator. The door handle & surrounding area, in particular, looks "funny."

i belive it was in the last issue of sport compact car. They have a little article on it. Its nothing that really special. I think it looks ugly. The pic is what it will look like in the UK. And the 2.0l motor only makes 200 hp, (i think that is what they said) which is only 3 more than the new SI.

i personally cant stand the look of any of the newer civics..in my opinion 2000 was the last good looking body in a civic...(other than the ep3...its not too bad.)
yeah...well...i think i'm not too sure about the design...still hasn't won me over.
if it comes with the k23a turbo RDX motor i'll be first in line to buy one turbo hodna type-r FTW either that or i hope that it's got a monster k24 six speed...either way can't wait to see what will make it to the US of gAy-ness' shores

Im not too fond of the new look. Somehow it doesn't look right as a hatch. But why even bother since were not ever getting Civic Type R's in the U.S. as far as I know. Apparently Honda deemed us not worthy enough, not even a RSX R.
So this is what you get when you has a 3-car pile up involving a SI, a RSX and a 06 Civic? 3 more horsepower for probably about 5k more. I was hoping it would like nice enough to make me not want to fix my EJ and not buy a GSX-R750, guess i was hoping for too much.
