Default Axle problem

So Sunday while making an aggresive left turn i heard a bad noise my passenger side axle somehow popped out from the tranny . I didnt notice any difference in the cars driving so driving slowly to my house about 3 miles away i began to notice a significant power loss. Once i pulled into my garage hoppped out looked under the car and saw that she was bleeding badly...turned out to be tranny fluid coming from the passenger side axle hole (there was about a half inch of the splines showing). took everything apart pulled the axle out inspected it for damage everything looked fine so i popped it back in...now i have a real bad vibration while excelerating. any ideas as to why i now have vibration? Car is and EJ8 with a b16b s4c lds

What combo of shafts are yo using? Check the c-clip ring to see if its snapping into place.

I was wondering about that...i had done a search and that seems to be the general consensous. How woul i be able to tell? I had the swap done at a reputable shop so i figured they would know what they are doing. Any way i can tell if its the wrong axle? I had the swap done and was driving around for a month before this hapened.

If its happened after a month you were driving then it should be the right axle. Did you bottom out hard while driving then it happened? Since then did you put it back in to drive?

I don't see how it could be the axle. I mean, you've been driving it for about a month now, and had no problems. Im pretty sure you've gotten on it a few times. I have a gut feeling it could be a problem with the lsd. I dunno. Go back to the shop and ask them to help you out.

I made an aggresive left turn ...i wouldnt say i bottomed out however the camber of the corner is really weird and caused my tire to rub...or so i thought (turned out to be the axle coming out...i have put the axle back in refilled with MTF and have been driving back and forth to work about 4 miles each way...no leaks and the axle seams to be seated just fine. Im just trying to figure out the vibration now.

Check the support bearing where the half shaft comes together. Make sure hte braket is tight to the block.

Jack up the car on jacks in the front and let it drive at idle speed and see if that axle is bent. Hard to do but I bent a axle once and that was my vibration. Let me know how it goes.

Check for the rubber damper to be in its correct axial position on the shaft, if it moves along the shaft it can cause vibration and "knocking".

so it popped it out but not all the way and then you continued to drive on it??

sounds like you might have wallowed out the differential and now you're getting vibration. that or it might have worn down the bearings with the extra unbalanced load on them for that time period.

I would pop the axle out and inspect it and the splines REALLY good and then I'd get a flashlight and look up in the differential. pop out the other axle and get something to probe up in there and see if there is any play in the differential.
