CRX DX plus project--------> Paint questions
I have seen people who have painted the stock ground effects on their CRX and a lot of the paint has flaked off. Has this been because of poor prep on their part? I realize that a flex agent needs to be added to the paint for flexible parts but is there any kind of problem with the stock bumpers/effects holding paint even if the paint is properly applied?
Is there anyone out there, bodyshop folks, experienced with this?

well not if the surface is prepped correctly, you should try the cosmetics forum though, they would be able to help you alot more
Most people don't know what flex additive even is, so that's most likely their problem. If you take it to maaco or somewhere, I guarantee you that they don't use the proper additives 90% of the time.
I painted these with pepboys stock frost white car paint and it came out pretty good. It started to yellow after a while but all I did was clean the surface a little and paint it. If you take the proper steps it should be just like the rest of the car.

CRX's should've come from the facotry like that. I hate that huge black area at the bottom!
