Winter tire recommendations
With winter just around the corner, I have decided to purchase a set of base RSX rims to mount a set of winter tires. I have never used a winter wheel, so I was wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions based on experience or preferernce. I have the Comptech springs and the rims are 16 and was also wondering what tire size i should mount. Thanks for your help.
I've heard good things about Bridgestone Blizzak tires. As well as Michelin Pilot Alpin. Take a look at http://www.tirerack.com to see if you can get a lower price there and just have them shipped to a shop to have them put on. Unless you have a mounter available.

I wouldn't. We only get one day of snow/ice a year. Not worth doing. Unless you just wanted all season tires. I think you have the summer tires, right?

I have also heard blizzak mentioned a few times. I was also wondering waht tire size I should utilize. I think that the stock RSX rims use a 205/50? I'm not sure. What size does anyone recommend?

Blizzak is the best winter tire hands down. I used to work at audi and everyone who got winter tires used them and had nothing but good things to say about them.
I have a set of Hakapllitta Nokiians (SP?) on seperate rims for winter use on my RSX. Based on my resaerch, the Blizzakz outperform tne Nokiians when new, but fall behind after one season.
As for size, you have to consider what your car used as stock. Tirerack.com has a calculator on their site to help you maintaine the correct sizing.

in my opinion having actually run these tires. the dunlop wintersport M2/3 were my favorite tire. in the snow i never had a problem. in ice, i think your screwed either way, but i never had a problem
