aight so i am in the process of turboing my mini-me crx and i am haeing to use a FMU for the time being till more money gets her and i get my ecu chipped anyways i cut the key on and my fuel pump is like whineing all the time now while its on i mean could this be because of the upgrade in PSI or the facted the car is up on ramps at a angle or what im lost kinda worried bout it do i need a new pump let me know thanks

Mine did the same thing on my SC setup untill my ringlands broke. The whining noise is normal but the fmu is crap.

when you use the fmu you need to run a high flow inline pump to...the stock intank pump alone cant handle the pressure at all (a walbro 255 cant even)...you put it between the fuel filter and fuel rail under the hood,,its fairly simple to install,,just cut a section out and clamp it on,,then wire the ground,and power to a switched ignition..

but that whining you describe,,it wouldnt just happen when the car is idling,,it would strain the fuel pump under boost when the fmu raises fuel pressure....maybe it was cause of the angle of the car? im not a fuel pump expert
