i am working on my friends crx and it will not idle and i know the code but not the fix...

 

Locate the IAC, it's on the back of the intake manifold. Undo the bolts holding it in, then lean it back against your firewall to look inside, it should be DIIIRRRTY. DO NOT UNHOOK THE COOLANT LINES RUNNING INTO IT! Clean it out really well with carb cleaner or MAF cleaner (until no more dirt comes out). Reinstall, if it doesn't do the trick ,follow the tseting procedure in a repair manual. Good luck.
