code 14 OBD I: IAC valve
I finished piecing back my POS today after a long hiatus. Throwin' code 22 (which is broken) and 14 (car wouldn't hold idle). I took the IAC off and a friend of mine came up with the idea to put a hold in a beer cap to allow just enough air into the manifold so the car holds idle. Surprisingly, worked like a charm.
Anyways, has anyone ever had problems with their IAC? Did you replace it? How much? Or did you simply take it apart and attempt to fix it. Lemme know!!

Re: code 14 OBD I: IAC valve (ko)
if you wanna clean it...you just take it off...and i took a old toothbrush and a can of carb cleaner, sprayed the hell outta it, scrubbed it, then sprayed it clean with the carb cleaner...blew it out with an air hose...then let it sit for a few hours to make sure it dried...idled a little smoother...but it was not what was causing my idle problem....but i do know that an IACV is not cheap if you buy it new, even from autozone or something like that
