Help code 14
Alrightly I have a 90 interga with a b17 in it and I have a solid check engine light. When I check the codes I get a code 14 and thats it? I found out that code 14 is electronic air control but I have no clue what that is. Does anyone have any idea what that could be?
Also it was idling really low like 500 so I turned it up and if it goes above 1000 at idle the tach starts bouncing by it self like its hitting 2 step.
Code 14 is for your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) it should be located on the back of your intake manifold. It should have two coolant lines going to ti and a plug which is the connector. It should have 2 bolts going into it. You can undo those bolts and there will be 2 holes for each of the coolant lines. One hole will have a screen on it you need to make sure this screen is clean and has no junk in it. You can also check the voltage on the connector it should be 5volts. You can also google ways to test and clean it. I hope this helps.
