I was looking around for some rsx's locally, and came across this one. Seems to me like the guy is asking way to much even for the ammout of modifications it has. I would like to hear some imput about this.

Its even RWD, im sure someone is gonna feel like an idiot about that one

A RWD RSX-S with a transverse mounted engine?

I am calling major BS until I see more pics. There are way too many modifications to be made to the rear end of the car to be able to put that much of a system in the trunk.

Bullshit.

EDIT: Transverse engine instead of LONGITUDIAL engine. Got my words mixed up.

If you click on the link and look at the pics the engine is transverse just like all of ours.

So...its a "normal" car and just like always someone wants to sell their car for too much because of mods.

hahaha, for some reason that like reminds me of Billy Madison.

but yea, anyways, sticking to the discussion. The car is really overpriced and the fact that they don't know what they are selling or talking about for that matter makes it even more sketchy!

On top of that, I do have a question in regards to making it AWD. What is involved with making it AWD. Can't you like use the CRV rear drivetrain and convert it? Just wondering. I have a friend with a boosted Ej1 that was thinking about doing the AWD setup. I heard it is possible, but would cost mucho $$$$

You would need a compatible transmission, the mounts to get it in the car, and MUCHO FABRICATION to get the rear diff in a car built on a FWD platform. I'm not saying it could not be done, but would it be worth it? Not to me it wouldn't.

For the price of the car, and the money to convert it over, buy a Evo RS, or a used STi.

yea, thats what I was thinking as well. Hell, probably for that price you could buy an STi new after the price of the Dc5, turbo kit and custom fab work to make it all compatible. If it did work out though, I think it would be fun and suprise a lot of people when it comes time to launching off the line but I don't think the transmission would last too long with AWD launches. Just look how well the Subarus hold up after numerous AWD launches. I've heard nothing but horror stories about STi's and even Imprezza RS's having crap trannies and always needing maintence and service or to have them replaced.

But then again, think of the age group that Subaru has targeted to drive these cars I see so many kids my age and more in their mid to late 20's driving these cars
