Try searching this has been discussed, or hell go to Acura.com and look at the differences.

Type S has k20a2 which is about 40 more HP than the k20a3
Leather

Etc
Etc
Etc................................

No he wouldnt. You can pick up a used JRSC kit for $1500 and you'll be at the same if not more power than a type s.

It just depends on what your looking for. Cheaper price, cheaper insurance etc etc then the base is fine. Dont mind the extra $$ then the type S plus you get the better engine.

IMO yes, I like the wheels better, The seats are a little different, and the motor make like 10 more hp I think.

My only advice would be get a pre 2006 model and avoid that nasty drive by wire approach.

Type S FTW! Base Model sucks because of softer suspension, not as nice sound system as the type S, i-vtec e(K20A3) is not the real vtec, basically has two lobes cams vs. the k20a2 or the ka20z1 has the 3lobes cams for low and high rpms and not just for low rpms. And it runs on all 16valve rather than 12valve until 2200rpm+

Most people who do alot of city driving wont see a big difference as the torque is the same under 6K for both motors

If someone is going to track/race/speed alot --- the type S will of course be alot quicker

Most people who buy an RSX wont race it so the base fits just fine --- its basically a nicer civic ex coupe to me

wow it has been like 5 days since this question was last asked, thank you for bringing it up again. maybe you could ask the salesman trying to get you to buy it, he may know, or you could check acura.com (seems like a good idea) or better yet try the search button. don't mean to be a dick but come on man
