Default usdm ecu used for jap motor to pass smog.

i don't know if anyone have done this before. I was planning on using the usdm sohc vtec or dohc non-vtec ecu on a b16 to pass smog. jdm ecu shoot to much fuel. What do you guys think? If anyone has done it, please give me some pointers.

Result of smog check: have no clue what's these #s mean....

15mph hc:92 - 281 - 222 co:0.55 - 2.05 - 1.14 no:716 - 1961 - 2008
30mph hc:57 - 231 - 212 co:0.54 - 2.04 - 1.07 no:764 - 1761 - 2121

trying to be a good citizen not to cost pollution...

I have a usdm P30 on my JDM B16 swap and it passed smog in California. I didn't even take it to get it bar'd just got it smogged at a normal place and it was within the normal limits.

my advice is to get a new catalytic converter AND use 87 gas when ur getting smogged using the higher octane will make the emissions higher. My readings were similar to that and I needed a new catalytic converter.
