i have a 91 civic sedan and last night i was coming home from the races out of no were my car stalled so i try to start it and it back fires through the exhaust like crazy and loud my is mpfi with a 1.5 bottom end and a y8 head the bottom end has 215k miles on it. it runs fine but smokes like crazy the ecu is trowing code 1-3-and 15 the car is get spark and fuel it is also on time but i just dont get it why would it back fire?Can Someone Please Help Me? Thank You

 

sounds like a timeing issue , damn 215k miles on the bottom end and your beating on it at the track , you kinda had to know this day was coming.
I'll bet your timing belt is old and just jumped a tooth.

 

well i check the timing it was on time but ill go and check it again

 

If it's not your timeing , then it sounds like your dizzy took a shat on you.
Very common with ef's.
