People that took out A/C in 96-00 Civic or never had A/C-Need help
Can anyone with a 96-00 CX/DX hatch (coupe too i think) post your OEM block off plate that goes in place of the a/c condenser or know the part # to it?

I tried on http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ too and couldn't find it. I might just make something maybe if I can't find an OEM on, if there ever was.

it DOES serve a purpose. do you think honda puts it on there for looks. air passes through the grill and into the radiator. but if there is a huge hole next to the radiator, the air is going to go through that because there is less restriction. by installing the plate, you force the air to pass through the radiator.
and to the poster, why don't you just call your local honda dealer and ask them for what your looking for? they should stock it because it's an accident item.

Yeah, on I guess he thought I was talking about the piece in the dash.

Here is the part you are looking for, wish I knew the Part number

Its called a Condensor Cover. you can find it under
the area of "Front Fender" good luck. This is used
if without a A/c system or Full length Radiator. Air always looks for the lest restrictive way to flow, and thus a large portion of air will flow around the radiator.
but usually you wont see any overheating problems unless you live in a very hot climate area. or you are on track (Road Course)
